Turkey Bowl
The Turkey Bowl is one of BYC’s most popular Trophy Races. All the trophy races are fun for the beginner and competitive for the veteran. This race is a BYC open event for all members of SLVYRA region clubs.
The Turkey Bowl is not only popular, but special as the final one of two long distance races that tear up and down Lac St. Louis. What a perfect fall afternoon – seeing the whole lake’s magnificence!
The Turkey Bowl is a popular event because we give big prizes, really big prizes. Not only that, but BYC gives a lot of these really big prizes, so your chance of winning one is good. The Turkey Bowl is a fall race that gives out a lot of really big frozen turkeys to racers. Everybody gets raffle tickets to win really big frozen turkeys. To make it even more interesting, the better your race score, the more raffle tickets you are awarded, hence the even better your chances of winning a really big frozen turkey.
Post-race we all gather at the club house to quench our thirst, and especially if you are insecure about winning a really big turkey, you can indulge in traditional piping hot turkey sandwiches while anticipating the big raffle give-away.
Oh, the competition is fierce, but relax, everyone gets a chance!
